weather permitting. The eelpout angling contest is an 'all-weather'
event.

Eelpout Peelout - 5 Mile Run

Registration: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
Official Race Start: 10 a.m.
This Eelpout Festival Tradition has tested the mental and physical toughness of those foolhardy enough to challenge the hills in and around the city of Walker for many years. Flat course easy hills, aid station, showers and changing facilities available.
Sponsored by the Walker Lions, Registration and check in will be at 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on the day of the race at Walker High School Cafeteria. Official race start 10:00 a.m. Registration fee is $15 which includes a unique collectors item Eelpout Peel-out T-shirt.
Awards: For first male and first female overall. Ribbons to top three in each age division
We’ve never had a racer win both the Eelpout Peel-out and catch the biggest eelpout; are you up for the challenge?

Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines! Race fans, don’t miss the third annual running of this event!
This event is sure to bring thrills and spills in a race that will feature Drivers from the Garfield Lake Ice Racers circuit.
Directions: Take Hwy 371 north out of Walker approx 7 miles to Hwy 200. Follow Hwy 200 to the town of Laporte. Turn right on Main Street in Laporte. At the end of Main Street turn left. Drive one block to the first right hand turn. Follow the road to the access at Garfield Lake. Watch for the track on the North end of the Lake Garfield Lake.
